How could I forget Buddhist New Parade in Thakek??

Just done the 4 day bike loop, got back around 3. Rode into town looking for food. Got caught in the parade! I had fun! Damo and Georgie were stuck on the bikes, getting rice thrown at them! I in the meantime, jumped off with my longy of Beer Laos and joined the pArty! Dancing on the street bare foot with beer in hand suits me just fine!

Panic at the Temple!

It was our second temple. We started climbing up the stairs. They were steep. Very steep. About half way up I started to feel dizzy. I knew I couldn't go on. I told Damon to go on without me. I sat on a large stone stair and watched him go on alone. He made it to the top. I watched him walk through the door. As I was watching, a moving vine came from the top of the doorway. It was a snake! Damon screamed like a little bitch and by this time I was having a mild panic attack! The poor snake must have got the shock of its life as it slithered down the stairs so fast! I thought it was coming my way and I freaked out all together! Luckily it slid into a crevice in the rocks opposite me! Damon came down relatively quickly, meanwhile I'm making my way down, breathing hard, sobbing and clinging to the side! It took us a while to calm down after.
In my state, I did notice that the snake was quite pretty. He was green.

Crocodile Rock....

OF course there was a shop at the Crocodile Farm... They had these AMAZING stuffed baby crocodiles with pearls for eyes. Some were on their back legs clapping their hands. No photos allowed :-( I really want one. They are $150 for a metre long one! Does anyone know if I could get it through customs?

Battambang to Siem Reap

6 1/2 hours on the boat along the river to get to Siem Reap! I wouldn't do the trip again but it was amazing scenery - jungle, floating villages, temples! We were even allowed to sit on the roof of the boat! Warning - If anyone does this boat ride - take a cushion for your bum!!

Battambang - Bamboo Trains, Bricks and a BIG hill!
